If Australia and New Zealand eventuially become one country, what would happen to New Zealand's Pacific dependencies? That's a question which so far hasn't been raised in the debate over a possible merger between the two neighbours. A recent poll in New Zealand may have given a firm thumbs down to the idea at this stage, but more than 40 per cent of Kiwis thought it was worthwhile to keep talking about the concept. What about the Pacific if Australia and New Zealand merge?
