The Samoan Government is filing a complaint with the New Zealand Broadcasting Standards Authority against TVNZ One News regarding their news item titled "Gangs and Drugs in Samoa", reports Talamua Online.

TVNZ One News reported that there are Gangs selling drugs and smuggling guns in Samoa.

According to the reports submitted by the Ministry of Police, these reports by the TVNZ One News were misleading and it has ruined the reputation of the country especially the Tourism Industry - the mainstay of the country's economy.

The Chapman Tripp Law Firm is representing the Government of Samoa and has been instructed to file the complaint with the New Zealand Broadcasting Standard Authority
