Not quite what we're talking about as pay per view webcasting is not
the same as free to air Television though I appreciate what KiwiTV is
doing it doesn't seem to be propogating Pacific Island culture, the
motivation seems financial. Please don't view this as a put down but
there are clear distinctions between Television and the World Wide
Web. As we all know the media viewing forum has changed slightly in
the last few years but content is still not made predominantly for the
web but for Television which is a more accessible and direct medium.
It is the central entertainment center in most homes and is the focus
of our industry as producers, writers, directors, and technicians.
This will shift in time but we are some way off committing full time
to a web based solution. But, a fantastic job Kiwitv.
