Pacific Press Release – Pasifika Broadcasting, 14 October 2009
Pasifika Broadcasting is now extending its weekly half an hour TNEWS programme to another half hour Pacific Island talk show.
It is called Pacific Viewpoint and the host is Setita Millar from TNEWS.
Pacific Viewpoint will discuss issues that concern and effect Pacific peoples here in NZ and it will be delivered in English.
Targeting all Pacific peoples and New Zealanders aged 18 upwards, Pacific Viewpoint aims to deal with the hard issues and ask the hard questions that need to be asked.
It also inspires to provide credible and helpful information to the Pacific communities. At times, entertainment and positive stories will also feature in Pacific Viewpoint.
Filmed in our studio and often with a live audience, a panel of credible experts and commentators will discuss and debate pacific issues with the audience given a chance to ask questions as well.
With the love Pacific people have for dialogue and debate, and the prime time spot it has been given, we anticipate the programme to be a great success.
Pacific Viewpoint is scheduled to screen weekly on Triangle TV 7.30pm Tuesdays and on Stratos 8pm Wednesdays. It starts on October 27th.
