[pima.nius] Auckland Based PIPA sends Relief Containers to Samoa

4:41 PM |

Auckland based PIPA (Pacific Institute of Performing Arts) is sending two containers of supplies to Tsunami stricken Samoa. The first container (20 foot) will leave for Samoa on the Tuesday 6th of October and will offer those affected transitional supplies.
Relief container organisers Goretti Chadwick, Anapela Polataivao and Olivia Taouma say the effort has come about as they saw and heard stories of what had happened and realised as capable people they could actually do something about helping those in need.
If you would like to donate supplies you can drop them off at:

PIPA at UNITECH Gate 4 on Carrington Rd
This weekend between 10am and 9pm.

After hours drop off in West Auckland call: Goretti Chadwick on 021 538580
After Hours drop off in South Auckland call: Anapela Polataivao on 0211432680

Things they are looking for:

Sanitary products, toiletries, female sanitary products, jandals, footwear, tents, cans of food, boxes of water and anything else people think may be of help.

But the relief effort will not end this weekend. PIPA is also looking to fill a second 40 foot container, which will leave Auckland on the 20th October. The last date for the dropping off of supplies is the 18th of October.

This is a bigger container and may be able to fit larger items. PIPA welcomes any supplies or assistance.

Donations of materials are much appreciated.

Endz.
