thanks Dominika,

We've caused quite a stir on our website too with our bloggers comments which has helped put presure on the game's makers. Hope you're enjoying Wellington weather!!

'Racist' iPhone game changed

The makers of the iPhone application Pocket God have made changes to the game after the Pacific Island community labelled it racist and degrading.

Pocket God - where the aim is to kill off "primitive islanders" by striking them by lightning, burning them in a volcano or feeding them to the sharks - caused controversy last week after members of the Pacific community called it offensive.

Based in San Francisco, the game's makers Bolt Creative said they did not mean the game to offend, but had decided to change it.
