Australian Parliament hears claims of Pacific aid waste

An Australian Parliamentary committee says Pacific states are not doing enough to assist their own development despite years of aid, particularly from Australia.

The report from the Australian Senate's Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade committee finds that while small island states have limitations beyond their control, a range of largely-human factors are holding back their potential.

Presenter: Linda Mottram

Speaker: Russell Trood, Australian Liberal Party Senator
