Political Storm in Tonga
Updated
A political storm is brewing in Tonga as the Attorney General has resigned amid claims that he fears democracy is slipping away. The Attorney General is John Cauchi an Australian, who says the government won't support his appointment of two independent prosecutors to investigate criminal matters after the ferry Princess Ashika sank last year. 74 people died when the ferry went down, and only two bodies were ever recovered. An inquiry into the sinking has been scathing about the government.
