New moves to tackle the region's youth unemployment

Updated April 15, 2010 16:00:21

Pacific countries are moving to tackle youth unemployment. In Fiji, delegates from five pacific countries are meeting to look at the outcomes of the International Labour Organisation's ground-breaking Youth Employment Programme which has just completed its two year work schedule.

The meeting is likely to be a key source of ideas for ways of implementing the youth elements of Port Vila Statement on Decent Work, signed by the region's Labour Ministers in February.

Presenter, Jemima Garrett
International Labour Organisation's Pacific Regional Director, Trevor Riordan. ILO Youth Programme Advisor, Ofelia Eugenio
