Thieves broke into the Pacific Islands News Association headquarters on Gordon Street, in Suva, last weekend and stole $13,000 worth of items. Assistant police spokesman Suliano Tevita yesterday said the incident happened between January 15 and 16.
"The thieves forced open the front door before cutting through the grilles," he said.
Sergeant Tevita said the thieves ransacked the office and took off with a digital camera, three cam coders, two headsets, four lap top computers and three bottles of bourbon.
"The total cost of items missing is about $13,000."
Sergeant Tevita has called on members of the public to keep a look out for people who will be out on the streets trying to sellthe lap tops.
