[pima.nius] Pasifik Update

6:18 PM |

The Pacific socio-political diaspora is now (rapidly) changing.
We are seeing a new Pacific emerge out of the old.
There is still flux in the motions.
But there is a definite new surge rising.
The state of relations between nations is making us face new realities.
Fiji has announced its intentions; China now has preferred status.
The US and Japan vie for position.
New Zealand is scrambling to negotiate.
In response it increases monies to Samoa.
The trifecta for control.
But the bases are changing.
There is a shift.
The Islands are integral to survival of these "developed" nations.
Looking back again.
The Cook Islands (Rarotonga) faces environmental and social catastrophe.
Within one generation the lifestyle they have become accustomed to living (under a New Zealand protectorate arrangement) will face collapse.
This is the question: How does living unsustainable Western lifestyles work in environments (Small Island States) where sustainability is crucial for continued survival?
Vanuatu may have provided a solution.
But do traditional economies and bartering systems work also?
When there is greed under the influence of Western and Eastern goods.
What then is the solution?
Perhaps the principal of high quality, cheap and efficient can be the only answer.
This in combination with good clear planning and allocation of resources may be the answer.
The quality of understanding that everyone is a part of it is also crucial.
One region, one future~!
Ocean management systems.
Land management.
Protection of long term sustained production and living environments.
Protection of paradise.
Understand water.
Understand land.
Understand sky.
Understand sun.
All in balance...
