Updated September 7, 2010 18:06:32

Tonga's newest political party has pledged to fight for government accountability and economic reform if elected in the November poll. The Democratic Party of the Friendly Islands will be led by Tongatapu People's Representative and prominent democracy campaigner, Akilisi Pohiva. It's also the only party to claim to have chosen candidates in all 17 electorates, and will announce the names of those candidates on Wednesday. The poll on the 25th of November will see the majority of the country's MPs being elected by the people for the first time.

Presenter: Stephanie March
