: story>
Pacific media women will be celebrated this Friday night at the Auckland waterfront.
The Pacific Islands Media Association is celebrating media women leaders at a special event to encourage more debate, between Maori and Pasifika communities.
PIMA says they are looking for input on the Best Pacific Media Personality, and what contributions they bring to Aotearoa.
Starting 6pm at the Ponsonby Cruising Club next to the harbour bridge, the event is asking one of the speakers, "Are You My Sis?"
That question is to be discussed by Greens MP Marama Davidson.
Her talk is a follow up to the 2013 PIMA event with former MP Hone Harawira - Are You My Bro?
Other invited speakers are TVNZ Pacific correspondent Barbara Dreaver and Coconet Wireless founder, Mez Aue.
PIMA Chair Will 'Ilolahia says asking Maori - are you my sister or brother? - is a way of creating more unity between Polynesians, across borders.
