JOURNALISTS TAKE PART IN WORKSHOP
By Arin Kumar
SUVA (The Fiji Times/Pacific Media Watch): About 10 journalists from Fiji media organisations took part in a media rights monitoring workshop yesterday at the Suva Business Centre.
The workshop was hosted by Mai Life magazine editor Ricardo Morris and was facilitated by Dr Mili Kaitani, a governance academic from the University of the South Pacific.
Morris said there had not been any training for the media for a long time so efforts were being made now.
"This is the first step into developing our awareness of ethics as journalists but also awareness of our rights and to be mindful of our roles and responsibilities as a journalist," he said.
