*PasiMA Urges Vanuatu PM Kilman to Uphold Media Freedom and Censure Minister
*
*/Attack and Assault on Vanuatu Daily Post Publisher is "Shocking and Shameful"
/*
APIA, SAMOA – The chairman of Pasifika Media Association, Savea Sano Malifa, has sent a letter to the Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Sato Kilman, in response to Friday's attack and assault on /Vanuatu Daily Post publisher/ Marc Neil-Jones by one of Kilman's own cabinet ministers and a gang of thugs. The attack was allegedly in retaliation for a story that exposed government corruption and maladministration.
Malifa, representing PasiMA, urges Kilman to vigorously pursue legal action against the perpetrator, Harry Iauko, Minister of Infrastructure and Public Utilities, and to uphold the right of free speech as guaranteed by the Vanuatu constitution.
