Vava'u was the original choice to hosting the 23rd season but failed to secure the necessary logistics needed to film there. Samoa's Aggie Grey's Resort has been block booked from mid May to September for the production. Our correspondent in Apia, Autagavaia Tipi Autagavaia, says the show is lucrative for tourist operators with dozens of locals hired during the last shoot in 2009.
